About
I'm Konstantinos Patronas — an Application Support Engineer at IGT in Athens. I work on a multi-datacenter Linux system: bare metal, VMs, Python and Bash for tooling, Grafana for everything that needs a graph.
I've been at this for almost 20 years. Started with a soldering iron and 8051 microcontrollers, drifted through ISP support and Nokia LTE Core, did a stint as DevOps lead at the National Observatory, and landed in operational hands-on Linux work where I've stayed since 2020.
This blog is where I dump the one-liners, SSH tricks, Docker gotchas, and Bash/Python snippets I've collected from years of fixing things. If you've ever lost an afternoon to a misconfigured ~/.ssh/config, you're the target audience.
Posts are short, command-first, and almost always solve a specific annoyance. No newsletters, no upsells, no algorithm.
You can find the older archive of all this on Medium (~400 posts), or just stay here — I'm gradually mirroring the worth-keeping ones over.
